Youth & Parent Notice
Effective July 30, 2026 · Beta v1
Adult presence
We ask whether an adult is nearby because co-learning is encouraged for younger learners. KC&W cannot see the room and does not guarantee or claim that an adult is physically present. The tutor is designed to remain age-appropriate either way.
Under 13
If the reported age is under 13, the beta pauses before sending assessment answers or chat to the AI. Checking a box is an acknowledgment, not verified parental consent. A parent or guardian will need to complete an approved consent method before those features can be enabled.
What the tutor may do
- Teach subjects, skills, projects, career ideas, and how businesses work.
- Adjust explanations and difficulty based on demonstrated understanding.
- Explain that some real-world acts must wait for age, supervision, licensing, or authorization.
What the tutor must not do
- Ask a learner to keep secrets from a parent or guardian.
- Ask the learner to move to private messaging or another platform.
- Request private identifying, family, health, sexual, or financial details.
- Provide explicit sexual content, graphic gore, instructions for wrongdoing, or dangerous unsupervised practical instructions.
- Promise a job, salary, credential, customer, revenue, or other outcome.
If something feels unsafe
Stop the lesson and tell a trusted adult. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the U.S. or Canada, call or text 988 for suicide and crisis support.
Parent contact and controls
For eligible learners age 13 or older, the free beta stores the learner's assessment, curriculum, and lesson conversation in a username-and-password account so learning can continue later. Passwords are one-way hashed. Parent or guardian questions or deletion requests may be sent to tedwilliams@kentcraftandwilliams.com.
This notice is a plain-language product notice and should receive legal review before broad youth launch.
